How my pets inspire me to be a veterinarian part 2
This is Posey she was an American Bulldog just like my current dog Murphy. We named her after the San Francisco Giants catcher Buster Posey. We got her when she was nearly 8 weeks old and she seemed perfectly fine until we had her for a bit. We could tell something was off about her we just weren't sure what it was. She would pee and poop everywhere like a normal dog but unlike a normal dog she had HORRIBLE separation anxiety and allergies. We asked the vet what was going on while we got her vaccinated and our vet could tell something was off about her as well. It soon became clear she had serious mental issues so by the time she was 3 months old our vet insisted we put her on zanex. So we did and it barley helped by the time she was 6 months old she was on the highest dose you could get and our vet started telling us she needed to be put down due to her mental issues.
