How my pets inspire me to be a veterinarian part 2

This is Posey she was an American Bulldog just like my current dog Murphy. We named her after the San Francisco Giants catcher Buster Posey. We got her when she was nearly 8 weeks old and she seemed perfectly fine until we had her for a bit. We could tell something was off about her we just weren't sure what it was. She would pee and poop everywhere like a normal dog but unlike a normal dog she had HORRIBLE separation anxiety and allergies. We asked the vet what was going on while we got her vaccinated and our vet could tell something was off about her as well. It soon became clear she had serious mental issues so by the time she was 3 months old our vet insisted we put her on zanex. So we did and it barley helped by the time she was 6 months old she was on the highest dose you could get and our vet started telling us she needed to be put down due to her mental issues. We didn't want to give up so we brought her to doggy daycare training where she could get trained and so my parents didn't have to go home during their lunch break to make sure she was okay and not freaking out too bad. After being kicked out of 2 or 3 doggy daycares and not being welcomed back due to her being aggressive (she would get aggressive when we weren't around because she was scared) we were ready to give up. Then we found a place called Impawsible pups (which she certainly fit the name) they tried to train her but her anxiety was just getting increasingly worse. Our vet gave us new meds to put her on but NOTHING was helping. She continued to tell us to put her down but we couldn't bring ourselves to do it. When she wasn't freaking out she was the sweetest girl but she would only be calm if she was laying either on top of one of us or my dog Murphy who she adored. Looking back i felt bad for Murphy because he got less attention and we could tell she stressed him out. We continued asking around what we could do and we kept hearing people say exercise. You know the saying "A tired dog is a good dog" well, i wish that was true in this case too. She struggled even sleeping because of her anxiety. We still took her on runs and walks daily but it still did nothing. She would maybe go to sleep for an hour but when something triggered her all hell broke loose. At a year we starting to consider that maybe we should try to find her a new home after consulting the vet and trainers we got a stern NO! With a dog like her she wouldn't able to go anywhere else because she only liked us. After 6 more months she was a year and half and we could just see the pain ain her eyes and we knew we weren't doing any good to her. She. Was. Suffering. So we all deiced it was time to put her down our vets who had been telling us to do that for a over a year at that point agreed and we did. It was heartbreaking but we knew under the circumstances nothing could be done and we did the best we could. She always had unconditional love.
Now you are probably wondering "How is this inspiring" well it showed me that being a vet is all about doing all you possibly can and its not only about the animal but the owners as well. The vets really did try there best and I thank them for that. I'm glad she is in a better place now and its hard to say it but i truly believe we made the right decision.
